Feta Cheese
Does anyone know a good recipe for Feta Cheese Pizza that NO has a base of tomato sauce?
I am looking for a recipe for Feta Cheese Pizza, but not have a tomato sauce base, but more of an olive oil based one. Anybody know of a good one?
GREEK pizza with spinach, feta cheese and rosemary 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil • 1 / 2 medium sized red onion thinly sliced • Salt and pepper • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped • 1 bunch spinach, stemmed and washed leaves, 8 to 10 cups • 1 teaspoon minced lemon zest • Pizza Dough, ready for deployment • garlic oil • 6 Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped, chopped • 3 ounces feta cheese, crumbled, about 1 1 / 2 cups • 1 / 4 pound mozzarella cheese, grated about 1 1 / 2 cups • 1 / 2 ounce Parmesan cheese, grated, about 3 tablespoons • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary 2 teaspoons hot olive oil in a pan. Add the red onion, 1 / 4 teaspoon salt and a pinch of pepper, saute over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes, until tender. Add half the garlic and saute for one minute. Transfer to a bowl. Heat the remaining teaspoon of olive oil in skillet. Wilt spinach over high heat with 1 / 4 teaspoon salt, dash of pepper and remaining garlic. When the spinach is wilted but bright green, in a few minutes i, remove from pan and place in a colander to cool. Squeeze excess moisture with your hands, then cut into large pieces and mix with the lemon zest. Preheat oven to 500 ° F. Spread the dough and place in a lightly greased pizza pan or skin of wood flour, brush with garlic oil. Spread the onions in the dough, followed by spinach. Sprinkle olives over spinach, continue with the crumbled feta cheese, then add the mozzarella. Bake the pizza in the pan or on a preheated pizza stone for 8 to 12 minutes, until the bread is golden and crisp. Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh rosemary. Greek Pizza with spinach, feta cheese and olives * 1 / 2 cup mayonnaise * 4 cloves garlic, minced * 1 cup feta cheese, divided * 1 (12 inch) pre-baked Italian pizza crust 1 / 2 cup oil packed sun-dried tomatoes, chopped * 1 tablespoon oil from sun-dried tomatoes 1 / 4 cup Kalamata olives, chopped 1 teaspoon dried oregano 2 cups baby spinach leaves * 1 / 2 red onion small, halved and thinly sliced Directions 1. Adjust oven rack to lowest position and heat oven to 450 degrees. Mix the mayonnaise, garlic and 1 / 2 cup feta in a small bowl. Place pizza crust on a baking tray, mix mayonnaise, spread on pizza, then top with tomatoes, olives and oregano. Bake until hot and cool, about 10 minutes. 2. Stir the spinach and onion in 1 TB. sun-dried tomato oil. Pizza Hot Add spinach mixture and the remaining 1 / 2 cup feta cheese. Return to oven and bake until cheese melts, about 2 minutes.
